The money was raised from the John Atkinson Memorial Golf Tournament
Proceeds from the 6th annual John Atkinson Memorial Golf Tournament are helping build a scholarship fund.
A cheque for $14,000 has been presented in a ceremony at Windsor Police Headquarters.
Kevin Sivell runs the golf tournament and says "the money will help students get a good education. This year's money is going back into the John Atkinson fund and it's going to the scholarship fund set up with WE Community Foundation."
Sivell gives credit to a long list of volunteers for helping to make the tournament possible.
He doesn't have details yet on when the scholarships and bursaries will be distributed.
