Santa is coming to Windsor.
The Windsor Parade Corporation is holding the 51st annual Windsor Santa Claus Parade Saturday night in downtown Windsor.
The parade starts at 6:30pm to allow people at the holiday train to head over to the parade route.
The route has changed this year and begins at Riverside Dr. and Janette Ave, moves east toward Ouellette Ave, it then moves south on Ouellette to Wyandotte St.
Maggie Durocher is with the Windsor Parade Corporation.
She says there will be lots to see and enjoy.
"Actually, I think the largest I remember in recent memory. There are 12 marching bands, half from this side of the border and half from the other side."

Durocher says people need to make note of the time the parade starts.
"We have a brand new route and a brand new time this year. The parade is starting at 6:30pm, not our usual 6pm start time. We are starting at 6:30pm to allow people who may be over at the holiday train to get back over to the parade route in order to see the parade."
Durocher adds the Santa parade has always attracted a good crowd and with the smaller route, she expects people will be more concentrated in the downtown area.
