Lionel Sanders wins the Mt Tremblant Ironman 70.3 for a fourth straight time
Lionel Sanders won the Ironman 70.3 Mt Tremblant for a fourth consecutive time and set a new course record in the process.
Sanders, from Harrow, had one of his best ever swims and was only down by 70 seconds when he exited the water.
Sanders then had the day's fastest bike split by over three minutes as he rode 45km / hr for the 90km bike leg and then backed it up with the fastest run of the day for a staggering 3hrs 40 minute finishing time and a new course record.
The World Long Course Champion has now won over two dozen races and four in a row in Mt Tremblant.
Sanders will be back in Mt Tremblant in August for the full Ironman race before he travels to Kona for the historic 40th anniversary Hawaii Ironman.
