Help is being offered to residents of Leamington working to protect their property from flood waters.
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Auxiliary Unit will be at the town's sandbag filing station Wednesday afternoon, helping people fill and load sandbags into their vehicles.
Officials in the town are encouraging anyone who lives along the waterfront to put sandbags in place to help keep rising water levels at bay.
Lake Erie is experiencing record high water levels this year which has resulted in flood conditions this summer, with lake levels expected to peak in August.
Anyone requiring assistance can go to the Bayview Dog Park at 435 Bevel Line Rd. between 5pm and 9pm.
Sandbags must first be picked up at the Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex.
