Bring a canned good as the CP Holiday Train rolls into Windsor Friday night.
Santa with special guest The Sam Roberts Band will headline the shows, first in Chatham in the afternoon and then at night in Windsor..
Speaking with Greg Gynp on our sister station 93.9 The River, Sam Roberts says negotiations began about six months ago.
"We got the call, its Santa himself who decides who plays on the train or not and we were in negotiations with the folks in the North Pole for the better part of six months and Santa finally gave us the nod," he says.

The band plays five to six times a day including holiday classics and their own hit songs.
He says so far, it has been an amazing journey on the train.
"Rail train that has been incredibly well preserved, it is just incredible inside, all these old cabins that date back to the 1920's, in that sense, if you like trains at all, this is the one train you want to be on," says Roberts.
Food collected will help stock the shelves of 15 food banks in Windsor and Essex.
The train arrives at 824 Caron Ave. off Wyandotte St. West at the CP Rail Yard around 5:20 p.m. with entertainment beginning at 6 p.m.
The CP holiday train also rolls into Chatham-Kent on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
The train will stop behind the John D Bradley Chatham-Kent Convention Centre.
