Officials say they raised more than 325,000

Mission accomplished.

The Salvation Army is thanking the community for surpassing its $320,000 Kettle Campaign goal.

Spokesperson Shannon Wise tells AM800 News they raised $325,412 as of 3 p.m. on Monday.

The annual campaign kicked off on November 15 at a Windsor Spitfires game and wrapped up on Christmas Eve.

Money raised will help support the Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope food bank, community meal program, life skills programs and food and toys for low-income families in Windsor.

A final total is expected to be announced in the coming days.

In 2017, just over $319,000 was raised.
