St. Clair College has landed another top women's basketball recruit.

Meghan Zelina, a native of Wilkesport, ON., is a versatile 5'9" swing player who can play guard or forward.  She won an all-Ontario "AA" title last fall with Wallaceburg District High School.

"Meghan is a player we have had on our radar since her Grade 11 year and will give us a hybrid-type player who can defend the perimeter as well as inside with her length," says Saints head coach Andy Kiss.  "Her skill set fits well with our running and pressing style."

Meantime, the women's volleyball team at the college has signed five recruits.

Baylee Mailloux, Keyome Ellis, Chantal DeVlugt, Lia DeGiroamo and Caroline Klich will be joining the program in the fall. Baylee Mailloux hails from Belle River where she attended St. Anne Secondary School. The 5'8" outside hitter will be enrolling in the new Honours Bachelor of Applied Arts in Social Justice and Legal Issues four-year degree program.

Keyome Ellis is from Scarborough, ON. where she attended Jean Vanier Catholic Secondary School. She also plays for Leaside Volleyball Club. Keyome is a 5'11" Middle Blocker who will be taking the three-year Child & Youth Care Program.

From Wyoming, ON., Chantal DeVlugt attends Lambton Central Collegiate and Vocational Institute (LCCVI). The 6'0" outside hitter also plays for Sarnia Twin Bridges Volleyball Club. She will be taking the three-year Architectural Technology program.

Lia DeGirolamo is a native of Newmarket, ON and is finishing up her high school career at Sir William Mulock Secondary School. She will be taking the three-year Business Administration Marketing program at St. Clair. The 5'7" Libero also competes for the Storm Volleyball Club.

Caroline Klich is from Toronto. She attends Silverthorn Collegiate Institute and also plays for the Waves Volleyball Club. The 6' middle blocker will be enrolled in the Interior Design Program.  "I am extremely excited to start a new chapter of my life with an amazing team. I'm ready to work hard to succeed in the game I love," stated Klich after signing with the Saints.

"We are very excited to be adding Baylee, Keyome, Chantal, Lia, and Caroline to our roster for 2019-2020. Not only do we feel like we are adding quality athletes but more importantly, we feel like we are adding five quality people to our dressing room and culture," says St. Clair head coach Jimmy El-Turk. "Their combination of size, skill, and character is what our staff is most excited about."

St. Clair finished the 2018-19 regular season with a record of 15-3 in the OCAA West Division ending up in second place.  The Saints were ranked as high as ninth in Canada during the season
