Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints knock Atlanta out of contention

Drew Brees continued his MVP-like season as the New Orleans Saints dropped the Atlanta Falcons 31-17 on Thanksgiving Thursday in New Orleans.  

Brees threw four touchdowns to four different players as New Orleans won its 10th straight game.  

Cameron Jordan recorded two of the team's six sacks as the NFL's Saints improved to 10-and-1.  

Matt Ryan threw for 377 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the loss for Atlanta.  Julio Jones finished with 11 catches for 147 yards in defeat.  

The Falcons are on a three-game slide.

Earlier in the day, the Dallas Cowboys head on to defeat the Washington Redskins 31-23 and the Chicago Bears defeated the Detroit Lions 23-16.
