The St. Clair College Women's Basketball team will play for an OCAA medal for the first time since 2014 after an 88-79 quarter-final upset win over Algonquin College on Thursday.
Algonquin was the East Division's 1st place team and entered the game with only two losses on the season while being ranked 3rd in Ontario and 14th in the country.
St. Clair will now face Durham College at 6:00pm Friday night in the Championship semi-final with the winner of that game advancing to the Gold Medal final on Saturday at 5:00pm — the loser of that game will play for Bronze on Saturday at 3:00pm.
St. Clair's Jana Kucera scored 35 points including seven triples on her way to being named the Player of the Game.
Three other Saints were in double figures including Kim Moroun with 15 points, Anna Ulicny with 14 points and Logan Kucera chipping in with 11 points.
