The St. Clair College Saints topped the University of Windsor in exhibition play 8-2 last night at Tecumseh's Lacasse Park.
St. Clair scored 2 runs in the opening frame and were up 4-0 after scoring a single run in the 3rd and 4th innings. Windsor made it interesting with a pair of runs in the 6th inning but the Saints scored 4 of their own to put the game out of reach.
The Saints were able to enter five pitchers into the game with starter Mitchell Prsa collecting the win with 2 innings of work and surrendered no runs or hits while striking out 3 batters.
Third baseman Matt Bondy had a perfect night at the plate for St. Clair with 3 singles and a double in four at bats. Bondy also drove in 4 runs and added a stolen base with a run scored.
Austin Oulds completed the Saints scoring with homer over the left field fence for his second hit of the night and added a walk with a stolen base.
The Saints are next in action Saturday when they travel to London's Stronach Park to face Fanshawe College in an OCAA doubleheader.
