An American Junior College transfer completes the St Clair College Men's Basketball roster.
Jalen Sykes of Redford, MI, about 20 minutes outside of Detroit, played the last two seasons for Macomb Community College in Warren, MI.
He averaged nearly 12 points per game last year at Macomb while shooting 54% from the field and almost 44% from three-point range.
"Sykes is a swing player with outside shooting touch and the ability to attack the basket with his ball handling skills." Says Co-Head Coach Brendon Seguin. "He will make an immediate impact in our rotation and he will be counted on as a main scoring threat. Defensively he can guard all five positions on the floor and his length will create havoc for the opposing offense."
The St. Clair Men's Basketball team will begin their pre-season exhibition schedule on Sep. 26th when they host the University of Windsor at the SportsPlex with a tip time of 8:00pm.
The Saints start West Division regular season play on Oct. 20th with a road game at Sheridan College when they visit the defending OCAA Bronze Medalists.
The following Saturday, Oct. 27th the Saints host Redeemer University College in their regular season home opener.
