It's a sure sign of the changing seasons.
Reservations for the Pelee Island ferry service will begin on Monday, March 6 with sailing of the Pelee Islander scheduled to begin April 1st.
The MV Pelee Islander will be out of the water due to a 5-year dry-dock which is a mandatory inspection by Transport Canada.
The dry-docking of the Pelee Islander 2 is expected to be complete in early May and once it passes inspection, the boat will commence its spring sailing schedule.
The Owen Sound Transportation Company, which operates the ferry system, says more sailings and capacity have been introduced to maintain service levels on the island beginning March 20.
Travelers are able to book reservations beginning March 6 at 8:00 a.m. limited to the Pheasant Hunt (October 15th – November 4th) and the March 20th-21st cargo runs.

As of March 7 at 8:00 a.m., all 2023 sailing dates will be open.
