Let's get ready to rumble.
Live amateur boxing takes over the Riverfront Festival Plaza on Sunday.
The event is being put on by Border City Boxing Club in partnership with Bluesfest Windsor.
Executive Director Renaldo Agostino says the card features boxers from Windsor, Amherstburg, Sarnia and Detroit.
"We've got 10 fights scheduled so far, we've got some great boxers, we've got a police officer who's boxing, we've got some really great heavyweights that are going to be out there, it's going to be a phonominal show," says Agostino.
He says it's time to showcase new amateur boxers.
"The last few years we've seen a new generation of boxers come up in Windsor and we've really been waiting to go to the point where they were all ready to take that next level where we could produce a really good show and it's finally time to introduce the city and the world to all of our new fighters," says Agostino.
Agostino says there is a lot of buzz in the community for the event.
"You look at people in the ring and it motivates you because you see a 12-year-old kid or a 47-year-old man give it their all, give every ounce they have and just by spectating, just by watching that, that motivates you," says Agostino.
The event is called "Rumble on the River."
Gates open at 2pm with bouts beginning at 3pm.
Luke Willson from the Oakland Raiders will be the special guest time keeper.
