The four hour drive to Tiverton to meet the Barbarians of Bruce Co. didn't hamper the energy or enthusiasm of Windsor's own Rogues as they beat Bruce County 31-18.
A roster filled with a larger than usual contingent of less experienced players and rookies looked disheartening on paper but it's what occurred on the pitch that really mattered.
Once again the Detroit Cobras Prop, 'Big' Jake Johansson, who plays Prop for the Rogues during the Detroit off-season, proved too tough to tackle and thundered to the Try zone.
Veteran player Craig Weir and it was total determination that propelled the Hooker to a hard won Try.
Ben Magri, Jacey Silvaggi and Gord Sykstus played tough as nails and it was their excellent ball handling skills and fast feet got them past the Try line for a Try apiece.
With the Rogues' two best kickers absent, Gord Sykstus originally of South Africa, showed the crowd what he could do when given the chance by giving the boot to the ball and sending it between the posts for 3 Conversions and a further 6 points.
