The roundabout in Belle River has been approved for a small makeover.
The roundabout that connects County Road 22, Notre Dame Street and West Belle River Road will be getting an upgrade with hardscape, plants, and custom art work in the centre of the roundabout.
A fence with art work will also be placed along the road leading into the Town.
During Tuesday's meeting, Lakeshore council unanimously approved the upgrade.
The centre area of the roundabout will feature custom designed sails that will include birds and fish laser cut into them. The sails will weather naturally and become a light rust colour.
It will also feature plants such as Stella D'oro Lily, Karl Foerster Grass, Yellow Twig Dogwood, and Moss phlox Emerald Blue.
Then a steel fence will be installed along the southeast corner of the roundabout that will have the Lakeshore logo in the middle of the fence to replace the cedar trees.
Enhancements to the roundabout was approved during the 2023 Budget.
