James Harden threw in a game-high 43 points as the Houston Rockets held off the Detroit Pistons 126-124 in Houston.
Clint Capela added 27 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks as Houston reeled off its fifth straight win on Wednesday night.
The Rockets are now 9-and-7 overall in the NBA this season.
Blake Griffin finished with 37 points, 11 boards and four assists, but also had nine turnovers for Detroit.
Andre Drummond added 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Pistons, who had won four of their previous five games.
In the NBA's Eastern Conference Standings Detroit is now 8-and-7 overall and they'll host Houston on Friday night.
