The Riverside Royals are the winners of the team of the week award
Our Minor Sports Team of the Week this week is Riverside Rookie Major Baseball.
Coach: Jodi Brown
This team were Finalists in the Barrie Baycats Tournament in late June. They went 2 and 1 in round robin play.
During the semi final game they went down 6-0 in the first inning only to battle back and win 9-8.
Unfortunately they lost in the finals by a few runs but they fought hard right until the end.
This team worked hard all tournament and employed a never give up attitude.
Each member of the team receives a $10 Canadian Tire Gift Card and a certificate.
And the Team receives an additional $50 Canadian Tire gift card for equipment.
