A large rally of several hundred people filled Dieppe Park at the edge of the Detroit River.
Current Unifor members as well as a number of GM retirees from Local 1973 took part.
They're hoping to make it clear they want General Motors to keep the Oshawa plant open.
CAW Local 1973 Retirees Chair Tony Sisty says the workers in Windsor are behind those in Oshawa.
"My message to General Motors today is we're here and we're not going to let you forget it and we're going to do everything we can to make sure what you're doing to this community, what you did to this community and what you're doing to Oshawa won't happen. To the Oshawa workers, we're behind you 100%"
Former CAW National President Ken Lewenza whipped the crowd into a chant.
