A downtown Windsor restaurant that made its name with a home-style atmosphere is closing after 10-years in the community.
Rino's Kitchen was founded by Ward 3 Councillor and Chef Rino Bortolin back in 2010 with the goal of serving up locally sourced food and drink.
The restaurant has the unique feature of being literally housed in a residential home, complete with a backyard patio, on the corner of Elliott and Pelissier Streets.
Bortolin handed over the reins to long-time Sous Chef Josh Fraser in 2015, just a year after successfully winning a seat on Windsor's city council.

Now a chef, Fraser took to social media to thank, "friends, family and the church community for all the love and support" with special thanks to Bortolin for trusting him to take, "his baby into adolescence."
Rino's Kitchen will officially close for regular dinner service Saturday, with a final party set for Jan. 31.
