A reward, offered in a Windsor murder case dating back more than ten years, has been extended.
$10,000 is offered for information leading to the arrest of 35-year-old Mohamud Abukar Hagi. He's wanted in the shooting death of Louis Acosta-Escobar in the 500 block of Pellisier Street on December 22, 2007.
Deputy Police Chief Brad Hill says, after the shooting, it's believed Hagi fled to Toronto but repeated efforts to find him have failed. "We have had reports of incidents of him coming back to Windsor. We have not been able to locate him. We've reports of him going to other jurisdictions within the country. We have not been able to locate him. At the time of the offence, we actually posted bulletins here, in Toronto and western Canada."
Hagi is also known as "O. O.", "Uh oh' or "Jamal".
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Windsor Police or Crime Stoppers.
