Weddings and funerals are the latest public gatherings to have some restrictions lifted in Ontario.
On Saturday Premiere Doug Ford announced the number of people allowed to attend outdoor weddings and funerals during the COVID-19 pandemic is now 50.
Indoor ceremonies will be allowed at 30 per cent capacity, but, there will still be a 10-person limit on all wedding and funeral receptions.
The change comes one day after the government doubled the maximum number of people allowed at social gatherings to 10 and began permitting places of worship to reopen at 30 per cent capacity.
Gatherings for weddings and funerals had been prohibited since March.
Physical distancing rules will still need to be enforced at all times.
