Windsor police are investigating a violent break and enter in the city's west end.
Around 2:30am, police were called to a home on McEwan Avenue near Pelletier St.
Two suspects forced open the front door and were met by the resident.
One suspect hit the resident with a metal object, assaulted him and they fled.
Police believe it was not a random act and the resident suffered minor injuries.
