Several events are planned throughout WindsorEssex Sunday

Windsor-Essex is gearing up to honour those who served their country on the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI today.

All Saint's Anglican Church on the corner of University Ave. and City Hall Square E. will mark the Armistice Centennial at 9am.

The Remembrance Day Service at Cenotaph in Windsor City Hall Square is at 10:30am, and Harrow will be holding a parade at 1:45pm.

Ringing Bells is one of several ceremonies that is part of a nationwide event set to begin at dusk — just like church bells across Europe tolled at the end of the four-year conflict.

Bells at All Saints' Anglican Church will ring at 4:45pm joined by Royal Canadian Legions across Canada.

The Canadian Historical Aircraft Association on Airport Rd. will invite guests to ring a bell starting at 5:15pm.
