Work began Tuesday on developing a parking lot in the southwest corner of Stodgell Park.
During the work, the park and playground, located on Kildare Road and Seneca Street, will remain open.
Construction areas will be marked and secured while equipment is in the area.
In late summer or early fall, redevelopment plans will also add new pathways, benches, concrete pads, silo receptacles, new trees and lighting.
