Red Wings Nip Vancouver in Shootout

Larkin scores winner as Detroit edges Canucks 32 at LCA

Dylan Larkin scored the lone shootout goal as the Red Wings rallied past the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 in Detroit.

Justin Abdelkader and Gustav Nyquist scored in regulation for Detroit, which has won four of their last five NHL games.

Jimmy Howard stopped 40 shots before denying Elias Pettersson, Nikolay Goldobin and Bo Horvat in the tiebreaker.

Pettersson and defenceman Ben Hutton scored for Vancouver, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.

The Red Wings close out their four-game homestand Friday night against the Rangers.
