Detroit knocks off Carolina 41 in Raleigh

Niklas Kronwall had a goal and an assist and Jonathan Bernier stopped 38 shots as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Carolina Hurricanes in Raleigh, N.C. Thursday night in NHL action.

Jonathan Ericsson, Frans NNielsen and Dylan Larkin also scored to help Detroit win for the second time at PNC Arena this season.

Bernier was solid as Carolina held a 27-13 advantage on shots on goal through 40 minutes of play.

Former Red Wing Petr Mrazek started in goal for the Hurricanes and stopped 20 of 23 shots.

Detroit returns home to host the Florida Panthers on Saturday.
