Red Sox Earn Split With Tigers

Former Tiger Rick Porcello earns the victory as Boston makes it two straight wins over Detroit

Rafael Devers' two-run double snapped a 3-all tie in the third inning and the Boston Red Sox went on to beat the Detroit Tigers 7-3 at Fenway Park.  

Michael Chavis hit a two-run homer, and Andrew Benintendi and Mookie Betts each had two hits and an RBI for Boston.

Rick Porcello pitched six innings of three-run ball for the win as the Sox split the four-game series.  

Jordan Zimmermann was touched for five runs in three frames to take the loss.

Nicholas Castellanos hit his first home run of the season for Detroit.

The Tigers send Daniel Norris to the mound in MLB action Friday night opposite White Sox starter Carlos Rodon in the first of a three-game set in Chicago.
