The Essex Red Raiders are WECSAA Double AA boys high school scoccer champions.
Tyler Zsebok and Jackson Moore provided the scoring in the 2-0 win over General Amherst.
The defence was stellar, led by brothers Daniel and Andrew Mastroianni and fill-in goaltender Kyle Tapping was perfect.
Tapping was forced into action when regular goaltender Jacob Chippett was injured in practice the day before Thursday night's game.
The title is the first for Essex in nearly 18 years and sends them on to SWOSSAA next week.
