Recycling has been cancelled this week in Windsor as crews continue to clean-up debris from last month's flooding.
As of Monday morning, the city's 3-1-1 Call Centre had received 6,008 basement flooding reports, both online and over the phone.
The city says progress is being made but there are delays in garbage collection.
The city has decided to focus on collecting garbage and flood material.
Residents who have recycling at the curb are being asked to take the recycling back in and store it until the next scheduled pick-up in two weeks.
Bulk furniture collection is also on hold.
Meanwhile, Ontario Minister of Municipal Affairs will be in Windsor-Essex on Tuesday, September 12th to tour flooded areas.
