A record-setting weather day in Windsor-Essex.
The official temperature climbed to 11.9C, surpassing the old record for February 7th of 9.6 degrees set in 1990.
Environment Canada Meteorologist David Rogers says there was plenty of rain but no records were broken. "Windsor got about 22.6mm, so that's a fair amount of rain for this time of year for sure. I looked back at a different location for Windsor, it's called Windsor-Riverside and it's located about six kilometres away from the airport and it had about 40mm of rain on February 7th but that was back in 1925."
On the other side of the scale, the coldest February 7th in Windsor-Essex was back in 1982 when the temperature dipped to -23C.
