A LaSalle councillor is looking for some answers.
Terry Burns wants to know how administration determines when to close town owned baseball diamonds and soccer pitches after it rains.
He tells AM800 news, he realizes there has been a lot of rain the last couple months but is concerned there are too many closures happening.
Burns says it's been an ongoing problem and wants to know if it's a drainage issue.
"We're going to have to do something because to me it's unacceptable what's going on," he says. "My concern is particular with the soccer fields, they've been an issue almost since day one, so I'm questioning whether there's enough drainage in there or what is the solution to make these things available when they should be available."
Burns adds, it's a tough situation as the town recently left the fields open for a soccer tournament.
"Even against our better judgement, we opened up the fields so they can finish the tournament but the damage done to the field is quite significant," he Burns. "To me it's a drainage issue. "I like to hear from the experts tell me it is or it isn't and again what's the solution so we can at least more forward."
LaSalle council is expected to debate the issue at tonight's meeting.
A reports states, the town's Parks Supervisor checks the fields on a daily basis and looks for standing or surface water as well as if the fields are saturated and if there are any safety or liability concerns.
