Ramsey says there was a lot of talk about difficulties that Canada is currently facing with China
Tracey Ramsey is home after a three day trip to Washington D.C.
The International Trade Critic and Member of Parliament for Essex, attended various meetings with key stakeholders and American legislators.
Speaking with AM800 News, Ramsey says there was a lot of talk about difficulties that Canada is currently facing with China.
"With the tariff on us, with the steel and aluminum at the same time they went on to China and it really was an effort to push back against China but somehow Canada got caught up in that," says Ramsey. "We talked about the fact that we have Canadian citizens who are detained by China right now because of our involvement in the Huawei executive that we have on behalf of the U.S."
