It is not Par for local golf courses as Mother Nature has drenched the fairways and grounds.
At Essex Golf and Country Club in LaSalle, General Manager Tal Czudner says the course has experienced more weather-related incidents so far this year compared to the entire 2017 golf season.
He says the course has been shut down a few times this season due to the rain and standing water.
"It hasn't been the nicest spring, obviously nice weather didn't arrive and so later in April, early in May we probably had more weather incidents in 2018 already than we had in the entire 2017 golf season," says Czudner.
Czudner points out the course has a great drainage system so 'with our system, we're pretty confident that by Wednesday the water will just be a bad memory.
Over 100mm of rain has already fallen this month when, on average, this area normally receives nearly 90mm during the entire month of May.
