The future of the Canadian Club Brand Centre in Windsor could rest on a vote today at Queen's Park.
A private member's bill sponsored by Windsor-Tecumseh MPP Percy Hatfield will go to a Second Reading this afternoon.
The private member's bill would amend the Liquor Control Act to allow brand owners to sell spirits that are produced for them in Ontario.
Before the centre on Riverside Dr. closed in March, the owners were unable to sell their own whisky at the historic site.
Ontario Minister of Economic Development and Growth, Brad Duguid indicated in April that he would be willing to support Hatfield's private member's bill.
To become law the bill still needs to pass a Third Reading and then be signed into legislation.
