A disturbing case of animal cruelty in southwestern Ontario.
The OPP says four Jack Russell puppies were thrown out of a moving vehicle, near West Elgin last Thursday (Nov. 10) around 8pm, seriously injuring three of them.
A witness claims they were thrown into a ditch near a residence on Talbot Line.
Police say an unknown person pulled over and grabbed the puppies from the ditch area and took them to an emergency veterinarian in London.
No word on the current condition of the dogs.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be an early 2000's black Ford Explorer, with rusted rims and lower panels, and a loud muffler.
