The Ontario Energy Board will be holding a public meeting regarding a proposed rate increase by E.L.K. Energy Inc.
E.L.K. Energy says it wants to increase residential electrical distribution rates by $3.50-per-month.
If approved, the increase would be in effect for five years and would start on May 1.
The Ontario Energy Board says it wants to hear the opinions of energy consumers about the proposed rates.
A meeting is scheduled for 6:30 next Thursday evening at the Essex Centre Sports Complex.
The energy company currently provides electrical services to parts of Essex County.
