Officials from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs are touring the flood damaged areas of Chatham-Kent today.
They're assessing how flood damaged properties in the municipality may be covered.
The Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontario program may be able to help those affected.
It has not yet been implemented, but residents and business owners are being encouraged to document the damage.
If the Disaster Recovery Assistance Program is activated, people will have to complete an application and include receipts and other pertinent documentation within 120 days.
