A local automotive dealer has closed its doors to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and is encouraging others to do the same.
Provincial Chrysler at 1001 Provincial Rd. in Windsor has closed and General Manager Udo Kiewitz says Low wait times for service appointments that aren't necessary began to come in.
"The staff would be looking at you saying ‘what are we doing here’ and you'd be balancing customers' needs and your staff's," he says. "At the end of the day we need to support what's going on in the community."
Kiewitz is encouraging everyone to take a hard look at their decision to stay open.
"I challenge the businesses out there to really look at the business they're doing and if it's not essential, make the tough decision because it's for everybody's good," he says.
In the meantime, Kiewitz says Provincial Chrysler is looking at ways to safely operate until the pandemic ends.
