Healthcare, in particular, the proposed new mega-hospital attracted much of the attention at the latest all-candidates debate in Windsor-Essex.
The meeting, hosted by eight local, regional and provincial organizations saw debate on the location of the new hospital as well as the funding model.
Shane Mitchell lives in the riding of Windsor-Tecumseh and wants the best healthcare for the region.
"It's really important that we maintain good healthcare infrastructure in our city," says Mitchell. "As a resident of this city I want to see that maintained."
He understands the new hospital has to service the entire region but is still questioning the proposed location.
"I know that there's need for increased health care services in the county, removing those services from the heart of our city is not a good answer."

Ray Bezaire also attended the meeting and says after researching new hospitals in Ontario, he feels the proposed mega-hospital will be a boost for the area.
"They've got everything you need for today's technology, better treatments and more equipment," says Bezaire.
Other issues discussed focused around increasing Ontario's public hospital funding by 5.3% and a multiple site system for Windsor-Essex.
The meeting was held at the School of Social Work on Pitt St. at Ferry St. and attracted a large crowd.
All candidates were on hand except the PC's Chris Lewis and Mohammad Latif, the NDP's Taras Natyshak and the Green's Henry Oulevey.
