The opening ceremonies for the FINA World Swimming Championships take place on Monday at Caesars Windsor and it's going to be a busy weekend for those involved.
Choreographer Melissa Williams says there are 60-plus performers. "We got entertainment all the way from bands and musicians to singers and dancers and I believe the best athlete introduction entry of an opening ceremonies yet. We're doing it new, we're doing something different then what people would expect."
"There is excitement building" says Williams. "We're in the best venue in town, concert venue, the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor. It's amazing we've really got everybody in the city that's in entertainment and production working this week and that weekend so that makes me happy as well."
Williams says the show is about the athletes involved in the competition but also includes Windsor's story.
The opening ceremonies start at 6:30pm Monday night at the Colosseum.
