An Essex councillor is calling for a special meeting with Hydro One.
Sherry Bondy says residents living in Harrow and Colchester are upset and are looking for answers as to why their power flickers and turns off almost daily.
She says it's been an issue for the past year but this summer the problem has got worse.
"The power doesn't go off for very long but when it goes off every single appliances in your house and in your business in the Harrow and Colchester area turns off and then turns back on all at the same time," says Bondy. "So people are starting to have damage to appliances because the cumulative effects of these power outages."

Bondy adds town officials along with Essex council are aware and have reached out to Hydro One.
"The issue is in Hydro one territory," says Bondy. "They're taking responsibility and they're fixing it which we're very happy but the public needs to have some explanation. We need to close this loop with them and let the public know that Hydro One is aware and is working on the issue."
Bondy hopes council gets an update at Monday night's council meeting.
She says those experiencing issues should call Hydro One or Elk Energy.
