A popular Windsor DJ has passed away.
Thorald "DJ Thor" Findlay died on Tuesday after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was well known in the downtown Windsor music scene and was also the DJ for the Windsor Express.
Joe Busico — known as DJ Joey Beatz — played along side Findlay for a number of years in the downtown core. He says Thor was a great DJ and a great person.
"Whenever you seen him, he always had a smile on his face," says Busico. "He knew what the people liked. He played for the crowd and he always had the dance floor going. Wherever we were at gig-wise, his spot was always the place to be."
Busico says Thor always had a smile on his face.
"He was always out going like nothing ever bothered him. He would just step in and do his thing," says Busico.
Findlay was 41-years-old.
Visitations will take place next Friday (September 22nd) at Families First in south Windsor.
He will be laid to rest on September 23rd.
