A popular memorial golf tournament is returning for its 20th year.
The Joe Hogan Memorial Golf Tournament will tee off on September 14th.
Co-organizer Dan Hogan says the event is in memory of his father Joe, who lost his battle with cancer 20-years-ago.
He says the event attracts more than 400 golfers and takes place at three local golf courses.
Hogan says the event is a chance to remember his father.
"I remember driving to London and there was no treatment here in Windsor and we had to drive to London with my dad and it's really tough to sit there and drive for an hour and a half and watch your super hero which is your father get sick on the side of the road and just go through the whole chemotherapy, the whole treatment and this is my super hero and this is our way of giving back to the community," says Hogan.
The event has raised more than $700,000 in 19 years.
Proceeds from the event support the local cancer centre foundation, the Windsor Spitfire Foundation and a scholarship for a student entering post-secondary education.
