An Ontario government survey is telling the Progressive Conservatives that the overwhelming majority of those polled want the Liberals' 2015 sex education curriculum back.
Those identifying themselves as students, parents and social workers flooded a website with messages hours after it opened in late August, following weeks of controversy.
Roughly 1,600 submissions obtained by The Canadian Press show the vast majority called for the modernized curriculum to be reinstated.
Education Minister Lisa Thompson says the government will be looking at all of the data in January.
The PC government scrapped the modernized version of the curriculum that was amended in 2015 to include education on how to handle online bullying and sexting — reverting to material last revised in 1998.
