A frightening time for a LaSalle mother.
LaSalle police say they were called to a home on Heritage Drive last week after a mother accidentally locked her baby inside her vehicle.
According to police, the vehicle was not running and all the windows were up.
Police say it was a hot day with the temperature at 33 degrees Celsius.
Officers and the family decided against waiting for CAA to arrive, as it would have taken too long.
Police say a decision was made to break the drivers side front window.
The window was broken and the baby was removed.
Police say the baby was in the vehicle for about 10 minutes but is healthy and was unharmed.
