Point Pelee National Park is reopening with limited access and basic services Saturday for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Day-use trails, cycling access on designated trails and pathways will be available. Beaches, green spaces and picnic areas will also be open to the public, but only some of the washroom and parking facilities will be open, according to Parks Canada.
Staff will be stationed at the main gate to limit the number of vehicles entering the park and visitors should be prepared to wait if the park is at capacity.
According to a release, the park will open Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to sunset and regular admission will be charged.
Parks Canada is asking the public to visit the park's website for status updates and plan ahead for their trip.
