The City of Windsor is looking for a solution to the parking issues at the WFCU Centre.
Speaking on AM800's the Lynn Martin Show, Mayor Drew Dilkens says plans are in the works to address the issue as the city hosts the Memorial Cup in May.
""We have a number of plans that we are working on including additional on-site parking," says Mayor Dilkens. "I have been working with Mr Farhi to open up that area and we are very close to a deal with him and working with Transit Windsor to make sure we can move people who want to take bus service to the site."
Dilkens says parking on grass and getting a ticket is not the solution for fans.
"There is also a long-term problem there with parking and I hope to have something in front of city council in the near future to allow us to address the on-going issue that we see with parking at the WFCU Centre."
