Blake Griffin logged 37 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as the Detroit Pistons held off the Pelicans 98-94 in New Orleans.
Reggie Jackson added 18 points for Detroit, which snapped a two-game skid and picked up its eighth road win of the season.
The Pistons are 21-and-26 overall in the NBA this season.
Jrue Holiday had 29 points and seven assists to lead New Orleans.
Jahlil Okafor chimed in with 17 points and 10 boards for the Pelicans, who have lost three of their last four games. New Orleans is 22-and-26 on the season.
The Pistons wrap up a three-game NBA road trip against the Mavericks Friday night in Dallas.
