A Mexican celebration is planned for today in east Windsor.
The Pillette Village BIA is hosting its third annual "Cinco de Mayo" Saturday street party.
Event co-ordinator Gary St. Pierre says it's a family event and takes place between the 4400 and 4900 blocks of Wyandotte Street East.
He says there are many children activities.
"We've got pony rides, petting zone for the kids, we've got a jump castle for the kids. We bring in a disc jockey and he plays the salsa, Mexican music with a combination of regular music all day long. There's a Mexican gentleman coming in that does rope tricks. Apparently he's quite good."
St. Pierre says the event will feature street vendors as well.
"Our retail sector in this area is limited. So what we've done is we've brought in street vendors and 17 have booked."
The event starts at 10am and wraps up at 4pm.
Everything is free, except for the pony rides.
