Former Blue Jay Kevin Pillars homer isnt enough to save San Francisco

Former Blue Jay Kevin Pillar hit a grand slam for his new team but it wasn't enough in San Francisco's 6-5 loss to the San Diego Padres.

Pillar's grand slam was his first home run since he was traded to the Giants a week ago.

It gave San Francisco a 5-0 lead in the fifth inning before the Padres stormed back with six unanswered runs.

Pinch-hitter Franmil Reyes connected for a go-ahead, two-run homer in the seventh to complete the Padres' rally.

Fernando Tatis Jr. also hit a two-run homer and Wil Myers had a solo shot for the Padres.

The MLB series continues Tuesday at Oracle Park as Derek Holland gets the start.
